30% Off Ontario Tuition Grant (OTG)

Effective January, 2012 the Ontario government is implementing the 30% Off Ontario Tuition grant for eligible full-time undergraduate students. You may be eligible even if you do not receive OSAP.

For the semester starting January 1, 2012, the grant will be up to $800 for students in university and college degree programs. This amount is for one semester, covering the second half of this school year.

Starting in September 2012, the grant for full-time undergraduate university students in a degree program is up to $1,600 a year.

Summer 2012

You can apply for the 30% Off Ontario Tuition Grant during the summer term if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • you are an undergraduate student in a first entry program,
  • you are taking at least a 60% (9 credit) or 40% (6 credit) course load and
  • your summer study period is at least 12 weeks in length.
