Hillel York, Student Community Leadership & Development and the Israel and Golda Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies at York University will be hosting several events and tabling sessions on campus this week to educate and inform the community.   • Trans Awareness Week Speaker Event. Join YouTube star Stef Sanjati as she discusses growing up as a transgender woman in a small town and launching her career in entertainment. In this talk, Sanjati explains the role childhood trauma played in her career choice and perception of success, as well as the nature of the influencer industry. The event will be followed by a meet and greet and Q&A session. Wednesday, November 13, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Accolade West 205 (ACW 205).

  • Open Forum: York’s Academic Policy, Planning & Research Committee (APPRC) invites you to participate in an interactive forum to help create the next University Academic Plan on Thursday, November 7, 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., second floor of the New Student Centre. International Connections

  • Tubman Talk Series: On feminizing the academic space in Ghana: the story of a York U Alumna. Join York International for their Tubman Talks series as York U Alumna, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, former Minister for Education in Ghana, shares her experiences as an academic in Ghana. At this event, she will talk about her experiences as Vice-Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, where she was the first female Vice-Chancellor of a state University in Ghana.   • Let your voice be heard! Throughout this month and November, approximately 59,000 undergraduate and graduate students will receive an invitation to take part in StudentMoveTO – Canada’s largest study on student transportation.

  • Announcement: Effective January 2019 Canada Revenue Agency replaced the T2202A form with a new T2202 form that requires York University to include your Social Insurance Number (SIN) on your form. Please ensure you have provided your SIN in your Student Personal Information record by February 1, 2020.
