  • ACU Summer School 2020 – ‘The Migration Generation? Climate, Youth and Refugees.’ Grad students and final-year undergrads are invited to apply for this summer school program taking place at University of Cape Coast in Ghana in August 2020! Apply to take part in a week of expert lectures by local and international speakers, social events, group project work, networking opportunities, field trips and a chance to immerse themselves in Ghanaian culture and history.   • Calling all women entrepreneurs! Submit your application to the Entrepreneurial Leadership & Learning Alliance (ELLA). York has teamed up with the Small Business Enterprise Centers of Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and York Region with a mission to reduce the gap of gender inequality in entrepreneurship. Submission Deadline: Wednesday, January 15.

Out & About On Campus

  • The President's Creative Writing Awards. Get writing! The Creative Writing Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and The Office of the President are looking for original pieces in the following genres: poetry, short fiction, screenplay and stage-play. Open to all undergraduate students, you can submit work to more than one category, but may only submit one work per genre. Best entry for each genre gets $400! Submission deadline: Monday, January 13, 2020, 5 p.m.

  • Announcement: Effective January 2019 Canada Revenue Agency replaced the T2202A form with a new T2202 form that requires York University to include your Social Insurance Number (SIN) on your form. Please ensure you have provided your SIN in your Student Personal Information record by February 1, 2020.

  • Announcement: York is a welcoming university that is committed to providing members of its community with a supportive environment for breastfeeding and lactation. Community members can use lactation spaces at any of the University’s campuses, subject to health and safety requirements.
