  • Black Excellence at York University (BE YU) Welcome Event. This welcome event focuses on the theme of BE YU and getting to know you. Join us in delving into the post-secondary, Black student experience, building personal and professional relationships and celebrating the achievements of our incoming York students. Keele Campus.   • York University Scholarship Portal. Explore ways to fund your degree today. York offers financial support through several awards, scholarships and bursaries. Students are eligible for various awards, even without demonstrating financial need. Application deadline Friday, September 15, 11:59 p.m. ET. Mature Student Support

  • Virtual Mature/Transfer Student Cafe Hour. Meet mature and transfer student peer mentors and connect with other students on campus. Virtual event. Tuesday, August 8, 10 to 11 a.m. Registration not required.

International Student Support

  • English Conversation Partners Program. Make new friends through this program that connects native English speakers or proficient English speakers with students who have English as an additional language (EAL/ELL/ESL). Applications will be assessed on a first come- first serve basis.

  • International Parents and Families. Learn about important deadlines, available resources and essential documents and items students need to bring to Canada. Virtual event. Wednesday, August 2, 9 to 10 a.m. Registration required.
