Campus Safety

  • Safety Tips. Support safety on York’s campuses by learning about safety precautions and useful resources.

  • goSAFE. Get some company when walking to and from York’s campuses with our goSAFE team. Call 416-736-5454, use the Safety App, access blue light emergency phones on Campus or use on-campus safety phones to connect with an escort.

  • Safety App. Access timely safety alerts and York’s safety resources, including campus security, goSAFE and campus shuttles directly to your mobile device through this free app.

  • Student Advisory Committee. The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) is recruiting students with diverse backgrounds and experiences for the Student Advisory Committee. Share thoughts on OUR projects, policies and initiatives through this opportunity. Application deadline is Friday, September 29.

  • Value Meals. Explore a new menu that ensures all community members can access healthy and exciting meal options. The value meal program will be available at Stong, Winters and Glendon Dining Hall.

  • Emergency Notification System (ENS) Test. A university-wide test of the ENS will be conducted by York's community Safety Department at Keele and Glendon campuses. This test will ensure the functionality and awareness of the notification system among community members, and will be distributed via the YorkU Safety App, email, public address system and digital screens across the University. International Student Support

  • Get your Social Insurance Number on campus. You need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to work in Canada and to benefit from government programs. Get your SIN processed with Service Canada and York International through on-campus SIN appointments for students who have valid study permits. Keele Campus.
