There are a number of awards available through agencies external to York University. These awards are listed below with links to the appropriate Web sites from which you can learn more about the award and download the application. Universities Canada

A not-for-profit, non-governmental association representing Canadian universities, at home and abroad. Information is available for both undergraduate and graduates.

Student Financial Assistance - Government of Canada

Provides funding information for Canadian citizens in postsecondary education and beyond.

International Scholarships - Government of Canada

Canada is committed to participation in international study and research partnerships that build understanding among peoples, develop global citizens and leaders, and contribute to the development of nations. Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) is responsible for the Government of Canada's participation in major International Scholarship Programs. DFAIT provides support to international scholars in Canada, which is often reciprocated by foreign governments which support Canadian scholars in their countries.

Community of Science

A privately held company funded by John Hopkins University to create an international database of university-based scientific research. It has expanded to provide information for and about scientists. The funding described is primarily for American institutions but some options for Canadian are discussed.

A site dedicated to awards and scholarships for students with disabilities at Canadian colleges and universities.

Provides scholarship information for colleges and universities in the US.

FundYourFuture.ca

A website designed to help Canadian undergraduate students understand their options when it comes to funding their post-secondary education. Studentawards.com joined forces with Scotiabank to build this one-stop resource for students.

National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS)

Dedicated to ensuring that educational institutions, federal and provincial websites provide accessible information for students with disabilities. It offers an Online Resource Centre which includes a directory where students with disabilities can access information on scholarships, bursaries, awards and government programs.

Canada's most comprehensive scholarship portal. Search through an extensive database to find scholarships, student awards, bursaries and grants. You'll also find information about student loans, applications and budget planning.
