York University is proud to be one of only 21 Canadian universities to participate in the Schulich Leader Scholarship program. This prestigious scholarship allows promising students to pursue their dreams and become the next global pioneers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas of study. Candidates must possess two of the following three attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership in school life and/or community life or evidence of entrepreneurial talent
- Academic excellence
- Financial need
Two Schulich Leader Scholarships are awarded each year. One award valued at $80,000 ($20,000 x 4 years) is awarded to a student admitted to Science, Technology or Mathematics programs of study. The second award valued at $100,000 ($25,000 x 4 years of study) is awarded to a student admitted to an Engineering program in the Lassonde School of Engineering.
