This tool lets you view awards, scholarships, prizes and bursaries offered at York University. Take a few moments to search for awards you may be eligible for: you can search by Faculty, award type, activity level or type in the name of an award that you may be familiar with. Unless otherwise stated, all full-time, part-time and mature students are eligible for all the awards in the system so long as they meet the published criteria.

Mayhew Scholars Award

Description
The Mayhew Scholars award will be awarded each year to a female student, at the undergraduate or graduate level, enrolled in the Lassonde School of Engineering. To be eligible, undergraduate students must have a CGPA of at least 7.0 and graduate students must have at least a B average. Additionally, both undergraduate and graduate applicants must demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities and participate in extra-curricular activities. Applicants must also be willing to enrol in the Lassonde School's peer mentorship progam. Applicants who are selected will be granted a $2500 award with an additional $2500 grant available to support their professional development activities such as conference attendance, graduate applications, interview clothing. Selected applicants may receive mentorship from individuals chosen by the Assistant Dean, Students or the Assistant Dean, Inclusivity & Diversity with input from Mayhew, during the same academic year they are selected. Appliction Process
The office of Student Services, under the direction of the Assistant Dean, Students, will issue a call for nominations between March to September in the same year the award is to be given. In order to apply, students are asked to submit official transcripts, a personal statement and a proposal for how the additional $2500 grant would be spent. The Assistant Dean, Students, will receive all applications, review for compliance to the award criteria and prepare for review by the Lassonde School of Engineering Awards Committee.
